Lithium Restrictions

Lithium cannot be shipped to the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, or internationally.

Shipping Disclaimer for Lithium Batteries:

Big Jeff Audio would like to inform our customers about restrictions on shipping lithium batteries via the United States Postal Service (USPS), as outlined in the USPS Publication 52 - Hazardous, Restricted, and Perishable Mail, specifically in the section related to Miscellaneous Hazardous Materials (Hazard Class 9), especially lithium batteries.

According to USPS regulations:

International Mail: All lithium batteries are prohibited in international mail unless they are within specified limits and properly installed in the equipment they operate.

Domestic Mail via Air Transportation: Certain restrictions apply, and eligible lithium batteries must be within specified limits and properly installed in, or packed with, the equipment they are intended to operate.

Domestic Mail via Surface Transportation: Lithium batteries can be shipped under certain conditions for surface transportation. However, there are limitations on the quantity, packaging, and display of DOT-approved lithium battery marks.

It's important to note that the shipping of damaged, defective, or recalled batteries is generally prohibited unless approved by the director, Product Classification.

For detailed information on the mailability of lithium batteries and specific requirements, please refer to USPS Publication 52 - Hazardous, Restricted, and Perishable Mail, Section 349.

By using our shipping services, you acknowledge and agree to comply with all USPS regulations regarding the shipment of lithium batteries. Big Jeff Audio assumes no responsibility for any consequences arising from non-compliance with these regulations.
