Charging the Wireless Bass Knob

Charge the wireless bass knob with a basic, standard USB power source, such as a regular 5-volt USB wall cube or the USB port on a laptop or desktop computer.

• Charge the knob for a couple of hours before using it.
• Disconnect it after charging instead of leaving it plugged in overnight.
• Recharge the knob when the battery becomes low.
• Avoid repeatedly storing the knob with a completely dead battery.

The receiver box must be completely powered and properly connected before the wireless bass knob can operate.

Power Connections

Looking at the three-position green power connector in the orientation shown above, connect the terminals as follows:

• Left terminal: Constant battery positive (+12V)
• Center terminal: Battery ground
• Right terminal: Remote turn-on from the head unit

RCA Connections

• Left RCA pair: The top-left white RCA and bottom-left red RCA are the input from the head unit.
• Right RCA pair: The top-right white RCA and bottom-right red RCA are the output going to the amplifier.

Receiver Box Mounting Location

Avoid mounting the receiver box directly beside amplifiers, large power cables, distribution blocks, batteries or other high-current electrical equipment. These components may interfere with the wireless connection.

If you experience connection problems or delayed response, move the receiver box away from high-current power equipment and test it again before permanently mounting it.

Screen Glitching or Acting Erratically

Electrical or electromagnetic interference inside a vehicle may occasionally affect the knob’s screen or wireless connection.

If the screen is glitching, try the following:

1. Remove the wireless knob from the vehicle.
2. Test it away from amplifiers, power wiring and other vehicle electronics.
3. If it works normally away from the vehicle, interference or the mounting location may be contributing to the problem.

Delayed Response or Connection Problems

Once paired correctly, the wireless bass knob should normally maintain a reliable connection.

If the knob responds slowly, disconnects or develops a noticeable delay, unpair the knob and pair it with the receiver again.

1. Confirm that the knob is charged and the receiver is properly powered.
2. Unpair or reset the existing wireless connection.
3. Pair the wireless knob and receiver again.
4. Test the connection before permanently mounting the receiver.

Protect the Knob from Drops and Impact

The wireless bass knob contains sensitive electronic components and is not heavily padded against impact.

Dropping it—especially onto a hard surface—may damage the display, battery, charging connection or internal electronics. Handle the knob carefully and keep it secured while driving.
