Video Editor & Social Media Producer (In-House)

Big Jeff Audio is seeking a creative and skilled Video Editor & Social Media Producer to join our in-house creative team. We are a fast-growing e-commerce company and a leading retailer in the car audio industry.

The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, a passion for visual storytelling, and a proven ability to create engaging video and social media content. In this role, you will produce high-quality videos that showcase our products, educate our audience, and strengthen the Big Jeff Audio brand across YouTube and other social media platforms.

This is an in-house position at our Ocala, Florida location. We are not considering remote applicants.

Portfolio requirement: Applicants must have samples of previous videos and graphics ready for review. Please also be prepared to provide a video and thumbnail that demonstrate your work.

Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience

Supplemental Pay:

Position Overview

The Video Editor & Social Media Producer is responsible for transforming raw footage and creative concepts into polished, engaging content for YouTube and other social platforms. This role works closely with graphic designers, content creators, and other members of the creative team to ensure every piece of content supports our brand, products, and marketing goals.

This position requires technical editing ability, creative judgment, strong collaboration skills, and an understanding of how to optimize digital content for reach and engagement.

Responsibilities

Video Editing

  • Edit and assemble raw footage into compelling, visually appealing videos for our YouTube channel and social media platforms
  • Ensure videos align with the Big Jeff Audio brand style, tone, and messaging
  • Add graphics, music, sound, captions, transitions, and other production elements as needed
  • Maintain high standards for video quality, consistency, and accuracy

Content Creation

  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop video concepts that highlight our car audio products
  • Create engaging, educational, and shareable content that drives brand awareness and audience engagement
  • Assist with thumbnails, graphics, short-form videos, and other supporting social media assets

Technical Proficiency

  • Use professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and other relevant tools
  • Stay informed about industry trends, platform changes, and new editing techniques
  • Organize footage, project files, graphics, and completed assets efficiently

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the creative team to understand video requirements, objectives, and deadlines
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, content creators, and other team members to produce cohesive campaigns
  • Accept feedback and make revisions while maintaining accuracy and creative quality

Optimization

  • Implement video SEO strategies to improve search visibility and maximize reach
  • Apply YouTube and social media best practices to titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and content structure
  • Monitor and analyze video performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Video Editor, preferably in a related industry
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating video editing ability, graphic skills, and creativity
  • Proficiency with professional video editing software and related creative tools
  • Understanding of YouTube algorithms, video SEO, and platform best practices
  • Creative mindset with the ability to turn ideas into engaging content
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of car audio products and industry trends is preferred but not required

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • 40 hours per week
  • 30-minute lunch
  • (2) paid 10-minute breaks

  • Adobe Photoshop experience (2+ years required)
  • Final Cut Pro experience (1+ year required)
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or comparable professional editing software
  • Data entry experience (2+ years required)
  • Photo editing experience (1+ year required)
  • SEO experience (1+ year required)
  • Content creation experience (1+ year required)
  • Microsoft Excel experience (required)
  • Canva experience (preferred)
  • Recent social media experience; applicants should be prepared to discuss work completed within the last 12 months
  • Video and thumbnail samples must be available for review
